An Exhilarating Suspense

This is my second book read by author Paul Hollis and I was not disappointed. This book is a sequel to 'The Hollow Man,' and I certainly look forward to book 3. The characters are most original, as is the dialogue and writing style. Feels great to read a down-to-earth book with realistic excitement. Makes me wonder when something like the scenarios in this story happens to me. This is the kind of book you can read 'before' having read book 1, but I do suggest reading the first novel too. And I believe the author is coming out with book 3 soon enough.

Fascinating - Suspenseful

When Paul Hollis introduced us to U.S. field analyst, Doc and his love interest/partner, M16 Agent Zita, I wasn't sure the author could match the frenetic pace of the first book in the thriller series, 'The Hollow Man.' I didn't need to worry! This newest installment will leave the reader breathless as they try to out-think Doc in unraveling the failed kidnapping attempt of Princess Anne and the underlying reasons the British Isles are embroiled in espionage

Another rollicking adventure!

It takes a certain amount of daring to write in that past, especially when dealing with espionage and international intrigue. I got such a kick out of The Hollow Man, the first book in the series of the name by Paul Hollis. I was completely caught up in an era so removed from our current world in terms of almost everything, especially technology. It wasn't until after I read that book that I discovered the series was taken straight from the author's own experiences. I just loved learning that—it made my enjoyment of both books even greater.
